BUY A HOME, NOT A HOUSE

Roti, Kapda, Makaan are the three desires of every Indian. Every Indian’s dream is to
someday be able to afford a Makaan (also known to us as flat, apartment, BHK, bungalow,
row house), but today we are going to explore why it’s more important to buy your own
Ghar (Home).

“DO I SEE THIS AS MY HOME?”

When considering to buy your own house always ask one question only. Do I see this as
MY HOME? Unless the answer is a bold Yes, Never Settle.
When buying a home most people look at their financial affordability and decide to settle
for something in their budget. While financial planning is good, it's a bad idea to buy
something as significant as a home and then regret it later.
My advice to most people is to pick a house they can call a HOME and then work towards
making that their own.

A FAMILY DECISION

Anyone can buy a house, but only a woman can make it a home.

Never veto a home buying decision, always involve the family. It’s not just about showing
them a house and asking if they like it. Openly discuss what they aspire to have in their
new home, what they like and dislike.
Use the Home buying opportunity to connect as a family.

We as humans spend a majority of our time in our homes

A HOME IS MUCH MORE THAN 4 WALLS

A Home is not just the 4 walls, it’s a lifestyle decision too.
To have a great life it’s very important to be in a home that makes you happy.
You are making a life changing decision. Your home decides who your friends are, what
type of school your child will go to, how active and fit your lifestyle will be, how you will
celebrate festivals, etc. These are things that money can’t buy, but through a good home
you directly choose the above.

THE KITCHEN

Just like a new smartphone is incomplete without applications, a new home is incomplete
without its accessories. A must in every household is a good kitchen. Always keep some
part of the budget to make a good kitchen. It’s an integral part of the home. Your mother,
wife will be very happy if you make their life easy.

THE LAST QUESTION

Is This My Home?
I will also make a very bold statement

“Your Home is the real diamond of your life”

When considering to buy your own house always ask yourself one question only.

Do I see this as MY HOME? Unless the answer is a bold Yes, Never Settle!
